The house was built in 1954 for a New York Socialite who was very dear friends with Jeanne Martin, Dean Martin's wife. During the season, the pair had a standing court time each Sunday at the Racquet Club; and afterwards they would host Sunday afternoon tea dances at the house. The white piano which sits in the great room was a gift for Dean in the mid 1960’s and the house became known as, The Tea Dance House. Dean's Big Band music and the sound of the piano were heard during many seasons. The house was recently renovated with designer fixtures, and furnished with mid century classics by designers such as Warren Platner, Mies Van der Rohe, and Milo Baughman.
